BY LAWS

The church may adopt from time to time such bylaws in amplification hereof as may be necessary or desirable, and shall provide therein for amendment thereof.

 

1. No member of the church shall incur an indebtedness on behalf of the church outside of the adopted budget in excess of $50 or make any purchase in excess of that amount without first presenting the matter to the church. It is understood, however, that this restriction shall not apply to regular established business matters of indebtedness and purchase in which it is accustomed, neither shall this restriction apply in case of an emergency where delay would be likely to cause material or irreparable loss, damage or injury either to persons, property or the welfare of the church.

 

2. All business meetings shall be opened and closed with prayer for Divine guidance and blessing.

 

3. All business matters shall be presented in writing to the deacons at least one week prior to the forthcoming business meeting.

 

4. All questions of order shall be settled by the customary rules governing deliberative bodies, as given in Robert's Rules of Order

 

5. All appointments for public worship and Bible Study and the arrangements thereof including time and place and the use of the property belonging to the church for purposes other than the stated appointments shall be under the control of the Pastor and Deacons as ordered by the church.

 

6. All literature and Bibles in this church shall be in complete agreement with the doctrinal statement and approved by the church. The King James Version Bible shall be used for all public ministry.

 

7. Divorce and remarriage: We believe that the Bible states as a basic rule that a Christian woman is bound to her husband so long as he lives (Rom 7:2-3). We further believe that the same holds for the Christian husband(1 Cor 7:27). All born again Christians are eligible for membership regardless of marital status and can be considered for an office according to the qualifications set forth with exceptions of deacons and pastor(s) (1 Tim 3:2-12).

 

8. No member of this church shall be a member of or associated with a secret lodge or order of any kind. We believe this is a clear violation of scriptural principles given to believers in both Old and New Testaments. (Deut 29:29; Isa 45:19;48:16; Job 13:6-10; 2 Kings 17:9; Jn 18:20; 2 Cor 6:14-l8).

 

9. These by laws may be amended by a 75% majority of active members at a regular business meeting.
